There's something about a pinky ring that says... Do not f*ck with me, babe. My first piece I ever bought was a pinky ring... and honestly, that tells you everything you need to know about me.
Here are two that I rock every day. Sometimes solo, or sometimes stacked (to no one's surprise). I can't get enough of them.

A short history of the pinky ring
The pinky ring did not start with the mob. It's been a power move for about two thousand years.
Ancient Rome
Pliny the Elder noted that some Romans wore all of their rings on their little finger. Rings back then were status, savings and paperwork in one: a carved signet pressed into hot wax was your official signature.
The royal signet
Since the sons of Queen Victoria, the men of the British royal family have worn their signet ring on the left little finger. King Charles still wears the Prince of Wales signet, a ring that's nearly 175 years old. Across the pond, President Franklin D. Roosevelt wore the family signet his father passed down to him.
The engineer's ring
In Canada, newly graduated engineers receive an Iron Ring, worn on the little finger of their working hand as a reminder of the responsibility that comes with the job. In the US, the Order of the Engineer carries on a similar tradition.
Hollywood and the mob boss era
Then Hollywood got involved. Gangster films like Little Caesar and later The Godfather turned the chunky pinky ring into shorthand for a man you do not cross. Honestly? We'll take it.
Now
Today the pinky ring belongs to everyone. Signets, bezel set diamonds, dainty bands, all of it. It's the easiest way to make a stack look intentional, and the fastest way to look like you're in charge of the room.
How to wear a pinky ring
- Pick a hand. Tradition says the non dominant hand, but there are no rules. Wear it where you'll see it the most.
- Get sized properly. Your pinky is usually a few sizes smaller than your ring finger, and knuckles vary a lot. If you're near Brooklyn or Manhattan, I'll size you in person.
- Start with a signet. A signet is the classic. Engrave your initials or go full diamond.
- Stack it. A slim band next to a signet is my everyday formula.

The little finger, on either hand. British tradition favors the left.
Can women wear pinky rings?
Obviously. Women have been wearing them for centuries, and we wear them best.
